Assistant Management Accountant
Horsham, West Sussex I Permanent, Full Time I Salary £27,000-33,000pa (depending on experience) + study support if required
An industry-accredited and award-winning organisation based in Horsham is currently seeking a technically strong Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. This newly created role reports to a qualified Financial Controller with a Top 10 background. This individual will benefit from a varied position of senior importance within the team and be the FC’s key support for management and financial reporting, alongside variance analysis.
This is a highly commercial environment where the Managing Directors rely heavily on this team for accurate and detailed management information and recommendations. This valued function plays a key part in business decisions and development.
This is a great role for an ambitious, dedicated finance professional who’s looking for an opportunity that will offer genuine career progression. It’s expected this person will quickly progress to Management Accountant with future opportunities for further leadership roles.

Duties:
- Preparing various schedules to support the financial reports
- Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Providing management reporting for decision making
- Monthly reconciling stock movements and stock group analysis
- Assisting in preparation of the financial accounts
- Dealing with ad-hoc reports and queries
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the year end audit process
- Undertaking forecast variance analysis at agreed intervals
